Looking for a list of social media holidays for real estate agents? Keep reading!

Posting on your real estate social media accounts is one of the best ways to connect with your community! Not sure what to post? We get it. Creating a social media marketing calendar takes time. But when done right, Realtors® are able to provide insightful information and value, while also building relationships (which eventually turns into more leads). You just have to know what to post (and when)! That’s where we come in with helpful resources for agents.

When creating your real estate marketing calendar for the month, you may be thinking about posting all your real estate open houses or new listings. And there’s definitely a strategy for that (and one that we teach in the Community Influencer® Academy).

But the best place to start planning your social media content is by creating a list of the social media holidays for the year. These holidays are perfect for real estate agents looking for a way to increase engagement on their platforms, while also generating more leads and sales.

When thinking about which holidays to post on your social media, it doesn’t just have to be the major holidays. Of course you’ll want to post on holidays like Christmas, Memorial Day and Thanksgiving. But some of the biggest engagement you’ll see will come on the minor holidays. On days that you probably haven’t even thought about posting on. Days like National Pet Day, National Donut Day, National Picnic Day and yes, even National Selfie Day (who knew there was such a thing?!).

You may be thinking… why should posting real estate holidays on my social media even be a thing? The truth is, it’s truly the perfect way to connect with your community. Because on National Hamburger Day you can not only get additional engagement by using hashtags like #nationalhamburgerday, but you can also share the best places to get hamburgers in your city.

And this is how you’ll increase your social media engagement, while also providing so much value to your community. Who doesn’t want to go grab the best burger in town on National Hamburger Day?! And thanks to you, your followers now have a list of your favorite places!

Not only that, but just think about the connection you’re also making with those local businesses in your community. Chances are, if they see your social media holiday post, they will be re-sharing that post on their own social media account. Which means your post is getting into the eyes of more and more people in your community. And that my friend means more real estate leads for you!

To help you get started, we’ve created this monthly real estate holidays and marketing calendar with ideas for each month to help you plan your social media content. Think about it like a social media cheat sheet… just for real estate agents like you! All you have to do is use this list of social media holidays to plan your content. Make fun posts that provide valuable information to your community. And engage with your followers. It’s that easy!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best days to post on social media for real estate?

We always encourage real estate agents to post on social media every day of the week if they can! The more you post and provide value, the more your target audience in your community will feel like they know and trust you… which means more real estate leads! Of course we know that agents get busy, especially during the spring and summer months, so post as much as your schedule allows during these times. We also teach our students to look at their social media insights and analytics to find their most popular days for engagement on their accounts, and always make plans to post on those days. You can find this information in any social media platform in your settings.

What holidays to post on social media business?

You should definitely post on your real estate social media to wish your community well on holidays. We teach our students to post on all major and minor holidays like New Years, Christmas, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Easter, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc. Another aspect of holidays that our students find success with is posting on social media holidays like National Best Friend Day, National Dog Day, National Taco Day, National Cookie Day, etc.

What days to post on Instagram for real estate?

Just like with Instagram, it’s best to post on your real estate Facebook page when you have the most attention from your followers. By looking into your Facebook insights, you can see the days and times that your audience is most active. This is when we encourage you to make your posts. If you are busy with real estate clients or other activities during this time, you can schedule your posts to automatically go out during that time.

What social media is best for real estate sales?

This really depends on your community and target audience! Our students find success in generating new real estate leads from all social media platforms. We teach Facebook Marketing and Instagram marketing in the Community Influencer® Academy. The content that we teach our students how to create and post, can also be repurposed for other platforms! The video content can easily be shared on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Pinterest Idea Pins, etc.
